How to prepare for SSC CGL Tier II English Language

In SSC CGL Tier II English section there will be questions from vocabulary, grammar and passage. For the grammar section, the best and most trusted book is Wren and Martin. This going to be a tough job to complete the book. But that is the only way to get the grammar section right.

For the vocabulary section, you may go for Barron or 'Word power made easy.' by Norman Lewis. There will be quite a few questions on synonyms and antonyms. These two books will help you to get this part of the english section right.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff

Finally, the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 exam for all the regions are completed. This year it was conducted on two dates i.e. 21 April and 19 May. SSC hasn’t published the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff as the cutoff depends upon the relative performance of the students. But looking at the previous year cutoffs of SSC and this year performance of the students, we can predict the cutoffs. This might not be accurate. But it will be more or less the same.  Till last year, SSC didn’t have sectional cutoffs. Though there are rumors about SSC implementing sectional cutoffs this year, no official confirmation has been given yet.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff: General category

The cutoff for general category in 2012 was 82 out of 200. Given that the questions were slightly easier than that of 2012, so the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff for general category might be in the range of 83-87.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff: OBC category

The cutoff for OBC category in 2012 was 70 out of 200. Given that the questions were slightly easier than that of 2012, so the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff for OBC category might be in the range of 74-78.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff: SC category

The cutoff for SC category in 2012 was 64 out of 200. Given that the questions were slightly easier than that of 2012, so the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff for SC category might be in the range of 66-70.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff: ST category

The cutoff for ST category in 2012 was 62 out of 200. Given that the questions were slightly easier than that of 2012, so the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff for ST category might be in the range of 64-68.

SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff: Ex.S, HH,VH category

The cutoff for the above categories in 2012 was 25 out of 200. Given that the questions were slightly easier than that of 2012, so the SSC CGL Tier I 2013 Expected Cutoff for these categories might be in the range of 27-29.
