In SSC CGL Tier II English section there will be questions from vocabulary, grammar and passage. For the grammar section, the best and most trusted book is Wren and Martin. This going to be a tough job to complete the book. But that is the only way to get the grammar section right.
For the vocabulary section, you may go for Barron or 'Word power made easy.' by Norman Lewis. There will be quite a few questions on synonyms and antonyms. These two books will help you to get this part of the english section right.
